I feel like they needed a few more progenitors to make cameos while they were at it. Why not someone from Purson Soi's family to make sure there's soothing music? What about Ronove's family to make sure the baby is healthy by looking at him? Oh! We need someone from Comecome's family to make sure the baby has some bling her first few moments into the world

By free, I mean they can always get there if they want, even if it's technically illegal. Also, if I remember correctly, they were interested not so much in the fact of traveling to the human world, but in the goal, if there was such a thing.

Dead mom syndrome isn't happening, though idk what Ameri or others were told. Beyond "mom is away" and "my lover tragically died so don't bring it up or investigate". Merize wrote manga that were running long enough that Iruma got hired through the child-slavery pipeline. So she's still our connection to why and however Iruma got noticed and selected by grandpa.

What could make the underworld bad for Merize's postpartum health? I'm guessing it's a handwavy explanation about the alien magic being too much for her, which would raise questions about Iruma being okay (not that he wasn't gumption incarnate on Earth).

At least we got some of how they think of souls in a way that connects to how Earth-centric views think of demons. In their cosmology, our muddy sphere may seem bizarre.

Well, looking at the last page, there's puffs near Merize's face that suggest labored breathing and shading on her forehead that's typically used when a character is very ill. To me, she looks more like she's suffering, but not yet dead.

If that's the case, my guess is that the demons can't figure out how to treat her and they have send her back to the human world (likely with the interim demon lord) to get her the help she needs.

I could just be coping hard tho.
