Well, I admit i'm also curious to see more of Merize's past, who she was before and how she ended up in the demon world.

And, like, did she have a family back home?

If she's still alive and gets sent back to earth without her memories of her stay, it would probably lead to a very hard time for them and her.

Like think about it; She'd be gone from the face of the earth for years and suddenly shows up again, with an examination being able to reveal that she's given birth and not having any memories of the event.

 There's no way she's gonna die. A popular shonen manga series in Japan should not scare it's readers of childbirth
I mean, the Japanese populace already know that a human giving birth kills the mother from Clannad, something all Japanese citizens are required by law to watch as teenagers, so it’d be too late to try and hide it now.

This is the biggest, most important impactful event in the entire Demon World in recent history. With the love of the entire realm behind her birth, it's no wonder Ameri became who she is.

But why is this the first we're hearing of it.

Officially, it never happened.

I don't think she will die as I thought there was a flashback of her seeing her mom in the flower field when she was young. But maybe that is what causes them to see if she can be sent back to the human realm since there may be consequences on the weakened body after childbirth

Ameri has memories of her mother so ya no way she dies here however we haven't seen her in the present so maybe this is the start of a series of health complications.

Honestly a good baby design? In manga i've seen mostly had strange babies, like Jojo.

Shax going through basically an overdose evil cycle and still smilling at this bet. Bro was truly impressive.

Do you guys realize that Iruma is an undocumented immigrant and Ameri is an anchor baby? Even though some demons think they shouldn’t exist, without all the prejudice, everyone else just sees them as who they are. Iruma has to hide that he’s human, always fearing the day someone finds out-a fear that could change everything, just like how immigrants fear what’s going on right now. But because of Alice and Clara, his soulmates, and everyone around him-that fear doesn’t stick for long; their support lets him live his best.

Still, there will always be people who want to deny their right to exist. How do you, the readers, feel about Iruma and Ameri? You like them, don’t you? Thats why we're reading this manga. And yet some folks spend their whole lives trying to take away love and acceptance from people like them. Some go to foreign lands to escape danger; others go for a better life. And now, the dumbass in chief wants to get rid of birthright citizenship-the very thing that made the United States what it is.

The reason I’m writing this is that some people fail to see the deeper messages in these stories. For them, it’s just entertainment, a pastime, and the lessons about love, acceptance, and empathy just fly right past them. They got it but they don't reflect on it. So its my job to piss people off even if for a second.:meguusmug:
Us-centric viewpoint notwithstanding, ameri would only be an anchor baby if she was used as a reason to keep MerI’ve in the demon world. Merize remains in the demon world because it is prohibitively difficult to deport her, so she is simply detained. Further the Azazel family seems to constitute part of the border aristocracy, and Sullivan part of the upper ruling class, which both rather muddy the point.
