Toto would fight for Iruma right? If not because he enjoyed his brief time with Iruma than because Iruma has (comparatively small) wealth of knowledge of things outside of the Netherworld. Which was the thing he needed for his Legend Leaf task, a fact or story he'd never experienced before and he had experienced everything in the netherworld, if Iruma is gone Toto's only chance to hear new and fascinating things about a world few demons have ever seen, will be gone.

Baal may have a malleable, powerful peraon on his side as well as various other allies; Iruma has allies too, ones he didn't need to manipulate to get on his side.

Also I'm sure Mephisto will have some words about Baal being the demon king even if "only temporary".

My thoughts are very jumbled right now, I have become very fragile after reading this chapter.

But what is very clear to me is: I wish to have all of Baal's blood boiled instantaneously.

I think you're on the right track, but I don't think it'll be satisfying if it isn't Iruma himself that takes down Baal directly. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what Sullivan getting locked up is building toward; up until now, a lot of the arcs with potentially serious consequences have followed a pattern where, if the child/student characters are facing a challenge they literally can't handle, their goal instead becomes "get in touch with a parent/teacher who can and/or hold out until they arrive".

But with Sullivan out of the picture, Iruma's ace in the hole is now gone. And I strongly suspect Baal's coup is far from done; I'm sure he's going to find ways to compromise or remove any other high-ranking demons who might be sympathetic to Iruma, so it'll fall to Iruma and his peers to step up and deal with him and his cronies.

To be honest if it does go in the direction of "Sullivan is out" I do hope to see Alikred turning into Derkila and saving the day or Iruma using Loki again to somewhat "proof" that he isnt human and only pretending to be one to "hide". Tho for this arc to be a "the students save the day" it would feel a little of an asspull with the demons that they are facing in Baal's group

I feel the deity race is kinda awkwardly crammed in, imo it needs to be established more beyond this one girl. Currently she feels just like a somewhat annoying plot device to me.

A random teenage deity can just decide whatever in the demon realm and you just need to charm her doesn't feel very satisfying as deciding factor for high level demon politics. I'm really confused because the princess girl shouldn't have that much power to just appoint someone as demon king since i think her social status is between the demon king and the three greats. i'm pretty sure that since she's the princess, there's probably someone in a higher position than her within the deities that thinks she isn't making the best decision

also im super excited for azz's proper reaction because in like chapter 2 it said his family line governs virtue and destruction and rn he looks like he wants to destroy something i wonder if we get to see his bloodline ability

oh wait im thinking even more and i remember in like chapter 5 where they were doing that flying exam the demon king wannabe guy had a flashback thing when he was thinking of a reason about why he wanted to be a demon king and there was a scroll that said 'the demon king reunites everyone' and since iruma already proved he could do that in his evil cycle thing then there could be like some sort of uprising that could happen and baal gets overthrown or nobody respects his rule or something

We're 100% steering towards Baal's rule being tyranical and fascist and then all of the factions who are united under deported Iruma's frienship rizz overthrowing the governament.
I am pretty sure that if you take out Demons from the equation something like this happened in South or Central America btw.
