HOLYSHIT A MOVIE???

Huh... that makes sense. He WOULD love the idea of Iruma, a human, becoming the Demon King lol.
Also, I never thought I'd see a day that Kalego would agree with Robin lmao.

There's no way this is the final arc right? Its really cool and epic and there's going to be more right?
I mean, how do you even top this? It's what the manga has spent all its years building to and changes everything. Plus Nishi's dedicated to Ichi the Witch for the long term so that's another factor.

Kalego for the first time completely agrees with what Robin mentioned. At the end of the musical arc Kalego touched Iruma and Soi on the head with a paddle to congratulate them on their performance, in chapter 461, Kalego touched Robin's head with that paddle because he agrees with him, even Kalego let's say it resonates with Robin.

he's plain good and the best ally one could ask
As an ideal teacher should. GTK baby! A teacher who both wants to see results but also cherishes their student’s efforts along the way, making sure they don’t stray from their path.

Basically an evil cycle inducing teacher to prevent a return to origins is how I see him.

"To make Iruma-kun the Demon King"
After chapter upon chapter of everyone beating around the bush, Mephisto just comes out and says it. Lol
If anyone would be the one to say it straight up, it would be the motherfucking kingmaker Mephisto

I believe that Asmodeus will rebel against his mother for the first time if she wants to stop him, even if I don't think she would do that. The Kingmaker has spoken and so it should happen: Iruma becomes demon king.

I am so glad to read this chapter and see Kalego-sensei's point of view during Iruma's detaining by the Demon Border Patrol, even if just in one panel. Care's so much about his students and yet is too prideful to really let it show :')

You top this by actually showing the work to make Iruma the Demon King. Almost every 2nd year arc has underscored how powerless Iruma and his classmates are relative to the established high-level demons. This arc might turn that tide, but I don't see them getting Iruma back without relying heavily on stronger allies.

At some point Iruma and his prospective 13 Crowns are gonna have to demonstrate that, not only can they go toe-to-toe with opposing Crowns on their own merits (somehow)... they'll almost certainly need to prove that the elders who the Misfits are largely depending on NOW can depend on these same Misfits to save THEM in a pinch. As Sabro pointed out, who's actually gonna respect a Demon King who got the title just by coasting on the power of their backers?

[We could also get an arc (or series of arcs) where Iruma has to get the approval of literally every demon to take the Demon King's throne, which would be a nice bookend for the series with the Royal One arc from so long ago.]

To add on to this:

Iruma has proved time and time again, while he really does just want to talk things through and find a mutual understanding that everyone can agree with, he is willing to throw down when necessary with very little hesitation. He relies on those around him, not because they solve his problem for him, but because they would do a better job at that particular issue than him alone. That is the mark of a good leader. A leader can't be amazing at everything, but needs to know who is the best at whatever goal you are achieving and being able to step in and handle it if things go sideways. Iruma has constantly done that throughout the series.
