I agree, but I also think that the reason we like this one better is because we know of them in the original version.I honestly sometimes quite like this one better than the original one.
Most likely because she's older than her main universe self. For example Opera was older than Kalego in the main series, but now it looks like Kalego has 20-30 years on Opera.I just noticed that they make Clara more THICC than her main counterpart
I agree 100%. In my view this spin-off is so great mainly because of the gap between the original characters and their depictions here. Opera is so cool in this because he's much spunkier than in the OG while still maintaing the protective attitude towards Iruma, Clara is so cool because she's more mature while still maintaining the fun-loving and whimsy attitude of the original, etc etc. Besides, as someone commented in one of the previous chapters, the author is doing a great job of not just repeating the OG plot points even though he obviously (and in a very well-executed way) reuses important narrative pieces of the OG - Ameri's "What is your desire" in this chapter is an obvious example but Don's dialogue reminiscing of someone in the past is clearly a reference to Sullivan's memories of Delkira as is usually referenced in the OG. I'm excited to see who Delkira will be in this AU.I agree, but I also think that the reason we like this one better is because we know of them in the original version.
If this is an original standalone title, I don't think I would be this invested.
I really like the difference in relationship in this one, especially Ori!Iruma and Ori!Opera from when they were cute young master and elegant butler into Mafia!Iruma and Mafia!Opera close adopted-sibling. I certainly could not see Mafia Opera be as elegant as Ori Opera 😂
