Rather than different, I'd say it's a rewind of their personality. It's been hinted in the main series that in the past Opera was a complete menace of the worst kind in the past before Gramps reined him in. My guess is that the characters are more like their past selves...because Kalego hates working for Gramps even now, who knows how bad he had it when he was younger. lol That might be the reason Kalego doesn't work with his brother but for Gramps instead.

I can picture Ameri being a police or the daughter of the chief prosecutor, but not Clara.
