@ninjadork it's kinda implied from the start that Iruma's gonna be the Demon King, or at least he'll attempt it.

From what I've seen, most demons are too chaotic, selfish, whimsical, or happy to aim for the Demon King's throne.

Well, we'll see if the Principal chose him for that. If not, maybe he picked up on Iruma's hidden strengths and ambition from the fact that his parents freakin sold him.

I mean Furfur's kind of a dick but I imagine he is actually doing this with teaching them something as a goal, and the clearing of his own debts as a side-benefit. I can only expect that Sullivan values his students quite highly, so this going wrong could have brought an unholy shitstorm down upon his (Furfur's) head.

Kalego selected the tutors. Considering his detailed notes on every student, one can assume that he is watching closely. Sullivan could get involved if necessary, but I doubt Kalego selected anyone he couldn't handle himself.
