It's good when stories keep their MC's OPness to a minimum, bc when it happens it's really cool

@Alex-dono-sama His leg got healed instantly because of his own blood.
If you think about it, he's an ultimate tank. Natural healing and insane dodge chance.

He's pretty broken

Damn, can you imagine what the baby guardian bird from ch.6 would evolve to after getting iruma's blood?

I feel like this scene was supposed to be a big dramatic scene, and it kind of fell flat. For one thing, I don't remember the last time Iruma used his healing blood aside from its first appearance in the race scene, so it feels like he's had this power the whole time, and just started using it now. It's not like this arc was about learning or mastering this power. It also feels like this power was unearned- he has it just by being human. To be fair, it makes sense that since Iruma lacks the experience his classmates has from living in the demon world, he has to abuse every advantage he gets, like special human powers or his grandfather's ring. Also, this arc has a theme about Iruma's identity- wanting to be a demon to fit in, being afraid of being discovered as a human, but also being better at archery because of his humanity, so this fits in with that theme. I'm still hoping that Iruma has a satisfying confrontation with the second place guy, though.

EDIT: I do like Clara and Azz resisting running to Iruma's side though. They'd cheapen his win if they helped him, and it'd feel bad if they're score suffered because of it.

I almost forgot about the blood thing. Clever.

I also like how they made clear the ring dude was protecting the McGuffin. Best to nip those plot holes in the bud ASAP!

Iruma's such a good protagonist. I hope Jawa-man is a recurring character from now on.

@spurgleburgle
The other demons have their powers from the moment they were born into their family no? I think that makes Iruma having his own power just from being human pretty normal. Plus, I don't really see how any other situation in the manga could use his magic grow fast blood, plus plus, it's his blood I'd be a little hesitant to use the power frequently
Although just one drop did this so :shrug: lol

@spurgleburgle considering that this is a character-driven series rather than a battle shonen, I think more attention should be given on Iruma's evolving self-identity that you've mentioned. The willingness to harness his human powers in complete defiance of his fear of being discovered is a huge milestone for Iruma. Wicked Phase arc had shown us just how important a simple change in values and mindset can go within the demon realm, and the Harvest arc has thus far laid the foundation for Iruma's mental development as well as his eventual rise to the top.

Okay, if it wasn't for Ali Iruma could have died. Not only should that glasses guy be disqualified, he should also be expelled from the school.
