Fuck all of this social competitiveness bullshit. The rules are so utterly arbitrary. It is like little kids playing on the playground, making shit up as they go along and then getting into argument over whose stupid rules trump whose others... The sooner we get to violence, the better.

As for who is betraying whom... I honestly believe that Grandpa Sullivan has been deceiving Iruma the entire time and is simply using the kid as a host body for the resurrection of the previous Maou.

Welcome to high society. There are always rules and procedures that people must follow.

Oh that lady gon die.

Ameri was recognized as Iruma’s girlfriend, I imagine that alone would probably make her quite happy.

"Must"? Fuck that. Rules and laws only extend as far as they can be enforced.
Indeed. And Grandpa and company are precisely that enforcement. Don't let the soft velvet glove fool you into thinking there's not an iron fist underneath it. The rules of the Underworld are backed by the personal power of people who could turn you inside out in an instant. And those rules mostly exist in order to keep the knives under the table and blood off the floor, because open conflict isn't of benefit to anyone who doesn't get off on it. And even those who do (looks pointedly at Baal) have to play by the rules if they don't want their throats torn out by everyone else.

Don't think this sort of environment doesn't exist IRL, either. There's a reason why this series translates so well to a Mafia AU, and it's because the underworld and The Underworld aren't that different.
