Her reaction was absurd too.
"heyyy you're a foreigner but have a full japanese name, how come?" (completely valid question to start conversation)

Right her reaction doesn't make much sense. I'd get her feeling insecure of her European features if she lived her whole life in an Asian country as the odd duck out, but she literally came straight from England where her European features are anything but unordinary. If she developed any kind of insecurity it would be about her Asian features instead.



Then there's also the usual "hafu has blonde hair and blue eyes" thing that is actually super rare irl but is basically the norm in manga-land.


And slightly less annoying but insecure "ugly" MC has literally the same face as the cute girl with thousands of followers but that's something I can more easily forgive.
