Read this read this read this read this. Genuinely a banger-ass manga, the characters are incredibly interesting with both main ones being borderline sociopaths while keeping a moral compass, this makes for very fun interactions with the rest of the world and its factions, all of which are well though-out.
The world building is believable and fleshed-out, with different groups having special dynamics with others based on who they are made up of for example, like in the case of Jin Su-ya (idk if I wrote it correctly) they are a powerful faction on account of their members but are victims of racism seeing as most of their ranks are made up of foreigners, which does have importance in the story later-on and organically affects their relations with every other faction. The economy,in the same way, also makes sense and has logic to it, with some special and interesting scenarios popping up because of the peculiar way it works.
The MC and Fml are quite powerful, OP even, but even if they are strong they do struggle quite a lot, especially the MC, you feel it when he's fighting agaisnt powerful opponents. As a result the story is starting to delve into very interesting questions about the enhancement of human capabilities through not only tools but also drugs, which I havent really seen before and seems like a very interesting point to develop on.
The romance is gonna be a sloooooow burn, but is quite enjoyable nonetheless, with both main characters supporting each other and having plenty of cute moments and development.
One of the best part of the Manga is easily the art and fight choreography, I dont know if other people do this but I often just find myself repeating the fighting movements the characters are doing with my arm while reading, so it looks like im having an epilepsy crisis and just flailing my arms around in my bed but the way the fights are drawn and depicted makes them look so cool I cant stop myself. Not only is each panel beautiful but the movements have been visibly thought-out and are realistic, even if over-the-top sometimes.
One of the aspect i enjoyed the most though is just the questions it makes me think of. The Manga touches on many subjects, such as racism, criminality, mercenary work and "rightful strenght" versus the one acquired from a tool or drug for example. The dialogue has never failed to make me think, and although its not always a deep life-changing philosophical introspection, even the small cool observations are nice to have.
Surprisingly, the comedy is quite good, even if very sparse. It is far from common enough to warrant a tag about it, but the small moments always make me smile and complete the read to make and all-round very competent piece of media which you won't be disappointed with, it is definitely worth the time to read.
Although it is far from complete, standing at around 68 chapters at the time of this review, it does seem to have had some success meaning it will hopefully be continued for the foreseeable future, which makes me very happy as this is easily one of my favorite mangas as one of now. Im looking forward to the continuation of this story and I hope you will too if you decide to pick it up, which I recommend with all my heart.
