Satsuki landed a crazy cycle skip. She's on world record pace now.
Yeah, like the way the NPCs just defeated that demon with hard work. They did have the plant of Fun™, but other than that just a straight up numerical advantage win with no major twists. Sometimes not having those back and forth moments make for a more satisfying fight. The writer (or the editor) kept subverting the cliche and the way everybody managed the tones. This manga is a rarely gem in that aspect.
A less (not much) than perfect chapter. No Mii and No Cyril??? What is this!?
They're lucky. With the way this series subvert expectations it could've gone the other way.The men disappointed. They are not in the right genre of story
chapter felt weirdly short, maybe too many secret ambitions taking space in favour of some good friggin comedic timing.
and as usual author knows how to mess with the tropes, a serious sacrifice moment and waiting for the incoming attack to get destroyed by Satsuki.
I thought that the fire demon king was possesed by their dad to just fight, but in the end even she said some words of goodbye.
I'm openly disappointed and am going to LOUDLY COMPLAIN.Some of us were secretly disappointed.
I was not. I just like speedrunning lol! This series is hilarious though. Thanks for the recommendation! It's a lot of wordless action and mainly sfx, so it reads way faster than a normal chapter. Everything is straightforward, no hidden meanings in their actions. And he ate the first set, because they were failed experiments, such strong emotions are unnecessary for what he intends. And the standard demons are weak and starving, so all gone. Only the King Level units were doing much damage against the humans. This set of stoic emotion Kings don't have excessive attachments, so he let them live to fight.
