The problem is, methodical and serious people rarely become adventurers. The profession is full of muscleheads, intuition-based types, and wide-eyed idealists.
Real roles in an adventuring party should be not "fighter, cleric, thief and mage", and not "Tank, damage-dealer and healer", but "Learned, prepared and observant". But that isn't going to happen.
