many wars could be avoided if both sides accepted a compromise, but if the demons refuse to accept eating less than they want and the humans refuse to trade the amount of cattle theyd need (would the demons even have anything to trade for it?) then war becomes inevitableOne wonders if they could bring peace if they just traded a bunch of cattle to the demons or something. Or do they specifically only eat humans and nothing else? A human only diet?

honestly it seems more like they were forcibly brought to this world and are now having probblems getting enough food for the group rather than intentionally came here for foodIt's just that 'Going to war with humans in order to feed' is a rather pointless endeavor because they're either going to make their food extinct, not to mention that their food is viciously fighting them at every turn, and that humans are a pretty bad ... livestock, as it were, considering how long it takes for a human to grow to adult years and procreate.
In comparison, according to a quick google,
"Recommended age to breed cattle
The range in age at puberty based on breed can be from 6 months to 18 or 20 months of age. With the goal to have heifers calve at 24 months, heifers need to be bred by 14 or 15 months of age."
Not to mention that cattle can be largely self sufficient while being livestock (and also providing milk), yet humans are kinda useless until at least something like teenage years.
I don't know. It just seems like a weird approach to make the demons be the enemy. "They hunt humans for food." Sure, that's an enemy, but why? It's so inefficient and so many downsides.
One of those downsides is that humans are obviously going to go to great lengths to combat the demons if they literally hunt them for food. That's rather terrifying.
Wouldn't be shocked if the gods straight up made it so that they can only feed on human to force conflict. One wonders if they could bring peace if they just traded a bunch of cattle to the demons or something. Or do they specifically only eat humans and nothing else? A human only diet?
"We'll ask for only half as much as your current contractors, so entrust the cleanup-/burial-services of your city to our company instead! You won't even need to arrange for a dumping-site, our proprietary methods ensures there's no remains left in need of disposal!" - when talking with cities that haven't declined their offer yetkudos to the translator ,that must have been a lot of effort to do
Demon seems to be on a desperate situation but they also seems to eat human for sustenance.
so idk how they'll be able to negotiate when the other party is also your food
You rather they starve? I disagree. Though once they learn that humans are short-lived social animals capable of exchanging information (meaning deals can be struck/explained) and with a waste-disposal issue, they are likely to look to automate the procurement of food by having it shipped to their doorstep. No need to needlessly seek conflict when food can be had peacefully. If their only source of sustenance is humans and are willing to pillage to get it, though, those sympathies are gone in an instant.
Wouldn't be shocked if the gods straight up made it so that they can only feed on human to force conflict.
There's a reason most predators often stop trying to hunt something that fights back. It's just not worth the risk.not to mention that their food is viciously fighting them at every turn,
The only thing that makes sense is if it's the only choice they have. Could be some magic crap to justify it.It's so inefficient and so many downsides.
Mii is making her first steps to become a full-fledged spy with the food used as a distraction and/or a bribe to obtain the much needed infoMii learning lore while the others are eating mushrooms. That's quite unexpected.
it's almost like they aren't bad guys!!!!!!!!!!Is it just me or were the demons presented as pretty sympathetic?
