Make Posting Requirements for threads an option

As I am annoyed at all the foreign trolls, I would like to ensure that one can put posting requirements on a thread, to keep any tourists out of it.

Something like: "Has made 50 Posts/Reactions in the last 6 months", has X amount of Posts, etc.

I believe that would've made that certain thread a much less annoying experience.

There is another forum (in an entirely different hobby) I am on that also uses XenForo, and that one requires moderator approval for the first few posts from a new account (and also has some forums that are view-only until you reach a certain number of posts/time). I don't think the problem is whether the platform software can do it, but whether MD has the human resources to manage it.

The manual approving would certainly be too much for MD. Yeah. The View-only unless the value is reached is what I envision though and would be unlikely to increase moderation effort.

Surely you can lock accounts from making any kind of post until a certain amount of time has passed on that account.
