stop this retardness on the comments holyshit

Marco is in the right, he's doing his job and has always had a blind faith towards Father
Imuri is not on the right for not speaking up, showing commitment to her mission as a demon, but ultimately breaks it down because of her genuine love for the Priest, which weve seen glimpses of for a while now, probably since the start of Asmodeous

as the meme goes, the Priest just lacks critical information, but he will learn it soon enough

Imuri got played a fool by satan clearly, she was never gonna be his lover, just a reason he would fall
with his father figure (Dante), Imuri, and all his friends against him, fathers going to fully snap
marco wasnt in the wrong for this, the problem is by the time they couldve realized it and the scope of everything, it was far far too late.

I really like how everyone's motivations are pretty understandable, all things considered. Everyone's kind of in the right, in their own way, and that's what makes it tragic.

Marco's not entirely wrong. He's doing his job and Imuri is a demon. Demons like her (including her, as we see in this chapter!) have used their powers to do a lot of harm, and he has both a duty and an opportunity to stop her, right now. So of course he's going to act.

Imuri's not entirely wrong either. The church is destroying the person Father is, and the person he wants to be. Her love for him is genuine, and now that Dante is possibly dead, she might be the only person left who cares about Father for who he is and not what he is. So of course, Imuri wants to get him out. She wants him to be free, because the church is destroying him on so many levels.

To me, it's tragic because everyone's "right." And the blinding light of that righteousness makes them unable to see any other resolution. This could never have gone any other way.

Anyone who thinks Marco is in the right is an idiot

Have you people not been paying attention to the fact that the Church will immediately try to kill anyone they deem "not human" regardless of if they're actually evil or not?

"let's immediately murder this girl for being a demon despite the fact that she's done absolutely nothing to us and has actually helped out Mr Priest plenty of times even when she had chances to betray them, this will totally NOT backfire on us when Mr Priest sees us killing the girl he loves in front of his eyes."

Everything he said was true what are you talking about it's the plot of this manga rather she follows through of not is irrelevant also can people stop talking about her like she's not a at least hundreds of years old demon of manipulation trained by a rapist

Demons ARE evil lol, what the hell are you even talking about? They are literally vessals of satan exist to harm humankind. Church is (no matter how retarded their approach to Mr.Priest has been) doing their job like they did for a millennia.

That's what a femme fatale is? They lure you in with love and affection to make you lower your guard and get what they want. They are not some mustache twirling villians. That's why when Marco points it out, everyone else get taken a back because he is fucking RIGHT. This was the moment of her betrayal and almost got away with it.

She has been doing her given mission since the very begining. A last minute faltering doesn't absolve you from the entire ground work you laid down. She was literally trying to run off with Mr.Priest before they got caught. What do you think was gonna happen if they managed to do that? Happyly ever after? This is not some romcom slop. By not telling him her true nature, she made this entire fuck up possible.

You've fallen for the femme fatale and you're a third party that has all the info...

Gosh, what a tragedy... Love setups and stories like this, and I especially love how this manga has toyed with all of these balancing opinions and characters. Faith, abuse, love, hate, good, evil, and fleeting moments from relationships that were never meant to be, Definitely going to buy physical copies of this series when I get the chance.

This claim is refuted if we confirm that the priest is Lucifer, who has no memories.

Since Marco's magic only works on demons and those connected to them, in regards to File 67, this is basically the story of the Antichrist. LMAO. The priest literally doesn't die. The one in the flashback is not the priest's father, and he was abandoned by his "mysterious mother". This file literally confirms that the priest's non-biological father went crazy because he started hearing voices, which led him to hang the priest. Just having the priest made him go crazy.

It's also the whole battle with Asmodeus, where he says that his current self has the power to revive someone, and his whole monologue in Heaven.

The expression on Priest near the end makes me think he knows, but is in complete denial...
