So this manga is just promotion for the light novels?! I hate when they do that!

I have no idea why they do that. That said, if they finish the story as is ("hero" get his comeuppance, demon/human hybrid is forever defeated/dead), I'd consider the novel. If they fail to finish it as is, I'll just avoid the novels.

I don't like wasting my time reading a story that will never be complete in the medium I picked it up in.
