it's not the authors not wanting to do h content of their own works, but heir publishers and so on not letting them do, and hence some of them uses aliases and join circles in order to mask their own h-versions... some even have their editors too in the act.

alternatively, many popular artist starts as h-artist, one prime example I can give is the artist for Shokugeki no Soma and Dr. Stone... there's a few others too, but I don't remember them all...
