If you don't want to write a story where your MC goes around and murders all his opponents, don't add antagonists which clearly deserve it and even from a logical standpoint rather than emotional, would be better off dead both for the sake of MC and potential future victims.

Hell, he's not even going to drag them to the town guards or anything. I guess all the raping, murdering and stealing they'll do from now is MC's sin to carry.
