I honestly don't see how people not caring about an issue has any incidence in whether it should be fixed or not. The "grow a thicker skin" argument falls into this.

Most people don't care about content warnings. Yet they exist.
If there's an audience for which the issue is important, changing it wouldn't hurt the site whatsoever (and it's something that completely up to the devs who designed the site) I don't see why the change shouldn't be implemented eventually.

My main point is that I think that there are very few people who would prefer to see the name of the blocked user in the disclaimer. Most either don't or don't care. Thus I suggest this could be changed.

Per this thread:

MangaDex v5 will be a full rewrite of the website from scratch. It will be a SPA using Vue.js (JS framework) for the frontend. The backend will be done using Symfony (PHP Framework). The forums will be sped along using Xenforo (forum package). Search will be done with Elasticsearch (search engine) and reopened to guests.

Not too familiar with Xenforo so I can't guarantee a definite answer, but I imagine the blocking function will get revamped in v5.

EDIT: Here is a link showing what "blocking" (called ignoring) looks like on Xenforo.

Take this with a grain of salt because I don't know what v5 will exactly look like, but this should give you a rough idea of what you can do.
