Reminds me a lot of Plant Monster Girl Diary

There's a phenomenon in film where one studio will find out, vaguely, the plot of another studio's movie while that movie is in pre-production, and will make a similar movie based on the idea that the other studio is on to something(For example: Despicable Me and Megamind are a product of this phenomenon). I've seen it happen enough with manga that I think manga publishers are doing the same thing sometimes.

It's probably one of the best uses of misunderstanding and making up head-cannons. The Witch/Mandrake is trying her best not to look intimidating, and all of the characters around her make up their own conclusions on why she is so nice. Reading through the perspective of the other characters is also hilarious because they keep piling up their own head-canon where the heroine is only trying her best not to show that she is currently a calamity-level Mandragora.

Is the art for this manga AI? Or is the redrawing just hard to do? I cannot tell.

In what way exactly did you think the manga is AI? Do you think Japanese publishers are that stupid to just let some random hack be recommended as the artist for an adaptation?

Just getting into that industry is not easy. You have to be someone of renown, talent, hard work, or be recommended by established manga artists. No AI slop prompter is getting a free pass in this industry.
