Good morning, afternoon, evening, night, whenever you all are seeing this, lads.
WELCOME TO THE MANGA TOURNAMENT'S AWARD CEREMONY!
WELCOME TO THE MANGA TOURNAMENT'S AWARD CEREMONY!
It's been a long 3 months since this tournament started, and look how far we've come since then!
So much voting, so much reading, so much oneshots! It must've been so overwhelming! (to the new guys anyway, the oldies who voted in Music Tournament 5 probably thought "that's it?")
But no more worries (for now), it's time to sit back, relax, and see who won this brilliant

Resign - @Bartolumiu
My Best Friend is a Magical Girl - @DavidianMillerian
Yep, I've decided to tie with elBarto. Why? Because reasons.
Our lovely Bartolumiu has always been a valuable service to the forums and MangaDex as a whole, having once been a contributor alongside his pals @Atifus (who didn't compete in this tournament) and @Grogzilla (who did compete in this tournament, see his submissions here) before becoming moderators around late 2024.
And ever since, he and his pals have only continued to serve MangaDex, but with more powers to play with, and more responsibility to cover it.
But my words can't do him justice. Let's hear it from the man himself!
Bart, what did you think of this tournament?
Bartolumiu said:Damn, never thought my entry would actually end up in first place...
Especially given that I only submitted one title, so thanks everyone!![]()
What a humble man he is, that Bart!
What about me? I don't really want to talk about myself here... Let's save that spiel for our second place winner...

Oh boy, it's me again!
As some of you might already know, I discovered the forums around June 2024.
My first post in these forums was in @Blocky_Mudkip's Omega Ruby Nuzlocke thread.
That's right, even before I unofficially became a forum regular, I was still making bad jokes.
From then on, I started posting on my profile often. I eventually played Recettear after watching SsethTzeentach's video on it, and soon enough, developed an obsession for it.
And with a little image editing magic, I made the purple loli behind the slaughter you all know and love today.
What, you wanna know how I won the tournament twice?
Democracy, of course!
As for my thoughts on this tournament...
Eh, I'll save those for later.
For now, let's move on to our third place finisher...

Then, I'll Go First - @BakedBanana
You know him, you love him (some of us, including me, romantically), it's the Banana Man himself!
As our resident MangaDex historian and Forum Loremaster, Banban has been through a lot of moments in the site's past, from its infancy as a fork of AniDex created by @Holo, to the thriving culture of V3, to the HOMBREEEEEE incident of 2021, to the non-existent V4, to today's V5.
It's safe to say that he's probably seen it all. Ask him any question about MangaDex's history, and he will answer with 100% accuracy[citation needed].
Of course, as the site aged, he did too. Did you know his profile picture used to be of Renne from Trails in the Sky back in V3?
But again, my words alone don't give him enough credit.
So, Banban, what did you think about this tournament?

Of course, this tournament and my two victories wouldn't have been made possible without our sponsors at Panda and Co. Rigging Services! Here's what their President, @Angry_Panda had to say about the tournament:
Angry_Panda said:In these days of uncertainty, with AI ads, structural borgar failures, dragons, and whatever the fuck this dude is on about*, it’s nice to have something to count on, like a simple rigged tournament.
My congratulations to David, not so much for his simultaneous second and third place finishes (which, if I remember my music theory correctly [and I do], add up to a fourth), but for his exemplary work in managing to arrange this result, which we no doubt all agree is implausible at best. Added points for graciouslyforcingallowing Banana to take third place in his stead (CUSTOM TITLE WHEN). Compounding this unlikelihood is the inspired touch of a mod winning first place. Viewed in its entirety, this is clearly one of the most heavy-handed manipulations of a contest since the last whole-number music tournament (did you vote yet, Theodore?). It’s certain that whoever arranges the next event here has their work cut out for them in living up to such a high standard of low standards.
A tip of my hat to you, and congratulations to the prize-winners. I look forward to making the recording for Barto, and seeing BanBan’s artwork, and IIRC there was a mention of a Domino’s gift card (WHOOPS HE DEAD).
*Can one of the Spanish-speaking mods nuke him in Spanish? Because that would be amazing.
Ain't that just beautiful? Can't you all feel his gratitude coming inside of-
wait, no-
wait, no-
Okay, a bit more seriously, I want to thank you all for voting and participating in this tournament of mine.
I never expected that I would get that many people and 2 mods to even vote for their favorite oneshots, let alone participate and submit said oneshots to the competition.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. All of you.
And to those who only voted or just observed the show, I hope you had a great time reading all those oneshots. May your library be filled with slightly more "Completed" entries than before.
This is David, signing off.
