MangaDex@Home - Some questions

Aside from the obvious requirement that is listed out on the MD@Home page, I'd like to know about the following:

[ul]Is hosting a node while the server is connected to a VPN allowed (though VPN is connected to the same country)[/ul]
[ul]Required OS that the client runs on. I'm guessing it's Windows or Linux? [/ul]

Looks like it, but you'll need to setup port forwarding

OS doesn't matter as long as it can run Java.
