No, there's been no official announcement listing affected titles, and I don't think I'd hold my breath on that.

i don't view MD as a hentai site to begin with, so if it only hit hentai it wouldn't be that big of a deal (plenty of other sites for that too), the problem is that it's unclear how far it goes. like, if a suggestive level scene with a 'minor' exists in a suggestive level manga, is that forbidden or not? cause that, as people have already suggested, could end up with a good chunk of the site getting nuked.

I suggest everyone sort by Rating and file a report for every manga that has underage sexualization.
So many of their top mangas are gonna get nuked off the site and they need to see that.

Just a heads up. They are banning people for reporting Erotic mangas featuring sexualized minors. Thankfully I had already exported my library and was transitioning to another service.

MangaDex won't be a primary destination for the community in the long run because of copyright purges. This new purge is just the cherry on top of the shit sundae, most likely to keep them from being blacklisted from financial services.

Years from now, we could be reading on a Tor-only site that ignores DMCA takedowns.

It's a dead canary though, they're willing to censor content because someone somewhere (that they won't name!) told them it was illegal. If they feel they are forced to act on such a flimsy pretense then I'm sure more censorship will be coming down the line.

It's not like we aren't seeing a push for censorship elsewhere at an unprecedented rate. Mangadex caving is just one of many at this point, though it still stings.

So after reading through mostly everything in this thread, I can't see why non-hentai content featuring those themes won't be taken down as well. It is quite literally a slippery slope lmao. And I don't think the government of UK will care about the nuance, and there is no guarantee that MD won't comply with whatever they say.

Wrong. From what I've heard all of Volume 2 (10 chapters) is loli which makes a 1/3rd of the translated chapters about it. Looks like Volume 4 will be the same.

Which is normal, because those chapters without tags only have the general tags, the ones applied on the whole manga. You just don't understand how they work, that's all. They're quite complete, even more than Mangadex that only allow to tag whole series.

21 of the 42 chapters are tagged lolicon. So, more than the 1/3 I thought. It's 1/2. Much, much more than the "2 or 3 chapters" you initially claimed.

EtherealNeko mentioned on Discord that a list is being compiled and will be found in the Transparency Report (https://mangadex.org/copyright/transparency). Not sure if it's just for the DMCA purge last year or for these recent removals too.
