Tbf to Neko, no matter who delivered that slop, they are going to be obliterated
While true, she made herself look so bad that she could've given a semi-helpful announcement and would be given bad reactions anyways.
So making sure she isn't involved in this arsonist thread after dousing herself in gasoline should be ensured.
Seriously though? Why Is it this corporate PR style of writing anyways?

It's all corpo speak probably not written by them.
i.e. ran through 100+ lawyers to make sure nothing is said that sounds like accountability for any fuck ups

Chatgpt, write a transparency update/community announcement for MangaDex, mention that it is a "user-generated content" platform for reading and discussing manga. Include:
  • Specific numbers: This week we removed 59 titles out of approximately 109,900 titles being tracked
  • Reference to a specific policy clause (clause 3.1.1 of MangaDex's Content Policy) that prompted removals, specifically mentioning depictions of drawn young children in sexual settings
  • Statement about legal compliance and that we've always followed applicable law, including copyright law
  • Mention past high-profile removals like One Piece, Demon Slayer, and My Hero Academia from earlier in the decade as historical context
  • Note that we don't have data prior to April 2025, but will include everything since then in our Transparency Report at https://mangadex.org/copyright/transparency
  • Brief mention of upcoming feature improvements (allow commenting on titles and entries within the site)
  • End with an informal sign-off phrase: "God bless Dex-chan"
Make it sound professional but with a hint of internet community culture. Include a balance of serious legal language and casual community engagement.

Imagine not saying anything at all, despite that wall of text.
That takes some skill. I believe its called... "corpo talk".

Still no list of the nuked titles.
Still no criteria by which titles got/will get nuked.
Still no explanation as to why this needs to happen.
Still no explanation why MangaDex is registered as an actual company in both US and UK.

we didnt even get a list of the titles in the dmca nuke, the masses had to make their own
and well, why do you think one would register a company

Some 70 pages ago I wrote that I had often thought of MangaDex as "we". I'll stop now. I read the PR thing and get from it that it is is none of our.."we's"..business. This is no longer our place. Don't bother to think that your investment in the place has any meaning. "Thank you for investing us with power, now shut up peasant". Now I understand the first post.."If you don't like our modifications then you are a pedifile." I now think it was not an accident, or rouge Moderator, but policy. After waiting all this time to be given answers to the questions all of us have about this mess, hoping for some transparency and acknowledgment. No. I get standard PR flack crap. Intended not to speak to us but to mollify some "investors". My trust is now broken.Trust is earned. Oh one more thing "God Bless Dex-chan" How dare you.

Yep. MD is no longer a hub of support for the scanlation community. It's a corporate site that thinks we should be happy they still let us use the site on the terms they'll dictate to us. All despite the fact that this site offers literally nothing without the community doing all the work for them.

I would really like to know the legal basis that M.D. used for these removals, because it seems to be purely arbitrary and moralistic, which is more dangerous than any government law (since loopholes can be found, especially on the internet, and can (and should) be broken without the government, being the naturally inefficient entity that it is, trying to initiate any aggression against you, etc.), because, laws based on moralistic unwarranted delusions can lead to anything baseless, today it's "fictional young children in sexual activity (whatever that means, since they didn't explain the metrics either)," tomorrow it could be "titles with racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, anti-semitic expressions, etc..." literally nothing prevents it, there are no legal or institutional limits whatsoever, the limit is what the global politically correct "status quo" defines.

Perhaps all this has a metrical line of definition and I am, we are, doing too many speculations, but we have no way of knowing, no staff member wants to dot the i's and cross the t's JUST AS THEY DO EXCELLENTLY with regard to the issue of copyright removals, where everything is clearly and 100% explained.

abusing? I just wanted CP off the site, my bad.
Seems like only corporate interests received through a "legal nexus" have the ability to "make them aware of presence on their service."

They don't actually care about the fact that literally everything they're hosting is "illegal" content, and are blind to any attempt for users to make them aware of anything, as is now painfully apparent.

I don't think they should be removing anything, but what's the difference if some lawyer alerts them to illegal content, or if a user does? It's arbitrary nonsense and they don't care enough about us to even attempt to explain their reasoning on this.

Can't find a good site to read Noraneko Shoujo to no Kurashikata and Mato Seihei no Slave without cancerous ads
Start a Suwayomi. Never have to worry about losing your stuff because you can just migrate to a different host. I was making the transition slowly after the mass purge a few months ago but I'm ~90% finished moving my library over after getting banned from here.

MD needs to stop being a partial bitch, and become a whole bitch. They need to enforce their "Illegal Content, in particular, child pornography, child abuse and drug abuse" content policy all the way.

Shounen #3332 that depicts MC's dad getting murdered? Banned because murder is illegal.
Shoujo #6967 that depicts MC abusing drugs before turning life around? Banned because drugs are illegal
Power tripping NTR fantasy #6767 that depicts MC non-conning former female companion for betraying them? Banned because that shit is illegal
Slice of life coming of age #4337 that depicts MC over coming abusive family growing up? Banned because of child abuse
Kanokari? Banned because that shit is ass

For those that cannot tell this is mostly a joke, but really where does the line stop

That "transparency report" better not be the "list of removed titles" we've been asking for, because not only is it incomplete, it's also not very user-friendly if the list ever got larger than the current 12 entries.

They should just make a google sheet with

Title - Date of Removal - Reason for Removal

and link it in some kind of pinned post.

Not really, but that's also irrelevant in this case, the topic was specifically a certain site's tag usage. All tagging systems are necessarily going to differ in some way from common usage of words, for several reasons but especially because of the need to balance several conflicting goals.
Mangadex's usage of the "loli" tag also departs significantly from the common meaning of the word.
The common meaning of the word being "any character with a child-like body type"
