i'm starting to wonder if somethings wrong with mangadex. this is like the 3rd or 4th manga i've seen have multiple chapters translated on other sites and even some of them fully completed. are uploaders just no longer using mangadex or is there some other reason for this.

I agree with you man, nowadays I have this kind of mindset while accessing mangaDex: always do a google search whenever I reach the latest chapter uploaded here and to my surprise almost every one of my bookmarked mangas had more chapters uploaded on other sites (there's been cases of mangas having twice the amount of translated chapters on other sites).

To me MangaDex is slowly turning more into a site to discover new mangas, since they have one of the most complete libraries and the Search function is one of the bests if not the best one, than a site keep me up to date with my favorite stories.

Because only the mainstream or very popular mangas are regularly updated while the rest and the more obscure / less popular stories have a very inconsistent update schedule.

Dunno man, but nowadays whenever I read a manga and reach the last chapter update on mangaDex, immediately do a google search and almost always find more chapters on other sites (like in Manga Clash or Batoto).
