is dukedom even a word?

@Chet31
I once started a new job and the HR woman looked at me like I was weird when I actually read the contract before signing it.

I really hope the trend of having airhead hero(s) stop soon. Take the overly cunning too while they're at it.

Nah, it was a contract that was for 2-3 months or completion of work whichever was first and the work was just plain and boring digitisation of documents (customer contracts etc.).
IIRC the time was up before I was done with the work since the amount of documents was a chest-tall cabinet ~1-1.5m wide full of A4 ring binders and every single documents was to be scanned, fed into the OCR program and the resulting pdf saved according to a specific naming scheme with data from the document (like customer name, name of customer firm, contract vs. data sheet vs. contract termination etc.).
It felt like working at an assembly line except I had to get up from the laptop to use the scanner (at least it was an auto-feeding one) and the office was on the sunny side of the building and it was the height of summer, i.e. boring repetitive work in a sweltering office for 6-8 hours a day.
