Lol. The enemy leader took a coward's way. I guess he doesn't want to pay for his crimes. :pout:

So Ike must have had his troops retrieve the weapons, prep, and reload them. Which, makes sense considering his approach of overly preparing for this engagement.

Well, he just fired one via telekinesis-ish magic, so who's to say he can't do the same for reloading.

That did come to my mind, but reloading those kind of old style pistols and muskets are quite a hassle, not to mention because it was wet he needed to source dry gunpowder, dry fuse, and bullets. Also clean the pistols from the mud on the ground to make sure they’re not clogged and misfire. All of that in a very short time span.
It makes more sense and foolproof to have his troops prepare all that ahead of time.

Maybe if it didn’t rain, he could have done it himself.
Though, Ike rushing and struggling to reload and prep the guns all by his lonesome breaks the seriousness of the situation. 😂

You're implying he knows about the magic absorbing sword and spare the troops to pick up/reload the guns AND not use them on the rest of the army.

Which would make his realization here: https://mangadex.org/chapter/62312fa4-68f8-4632-ad15-216ecc358468/19 make no sense if he knows about it beforehand.
I did not imply that. If you read my first reply to your comment in its entirety, I already discussed that it really doesn’t matter to his plan if he knows about the property of the sword at all. His MO in this engagement is being overly prepared. Just like with planting the aquatic monsters ahead of time and prepping pistols for the cavalry, he would have prepared contingencies in fighting the general.

Ike using his telekinesis to prep the guns without it being prepared in advance in a wet environment means he has to (1) find the scattered guns in the battlefield, (2) clean the guns and make sure they’re in good condition, (3) find dry gunpowder, bullets, and dry fuses, (4) reload dozens of old style guns. All these actions in a span of a couple of minutes max. makes mo sense.

Also it’s only about a dozen guns or so AND the fight has turned into a melee. Using guns would be a stupid move as they run the risk of friendly fire.

MC using magic to do all kind of things - whatev
MC possibly using magic to prep guns - IMPOSSIBRU, he must've use normal troops to do it

bruh

The cavalry that showed up later found a flank to fire their guns without friendly fire just fine:

And there's also the enemy camp where the general was + likely still some high ranking officer to give out orders:

Honestly what make no sense to me is you thinking that wet fuse/gunpowder is apparently such a hurdle that magic can't fix.
