Seems like this series gets sniped more frequently now. Wonder why.

Anyway, can’t believe Suya made an entire town just to make an inn so she can get some sleep.

@Cicianna | Well, she's an adult (or at least at the acceptable age for an adult) and she can definitely handle her own country without a sweat so she definitely qualifies for a queen. Definitely possible

When a random group starts translating (stealing) a project from an Active group, readers often call them "Snipe".

The worst when it comes from a snipe translation is, they make the main group "rage quit" because all their hardship going WASTED. (mainly from readers saying uhm..., no nice things)

And then random group loses interest after translating a few chapters.
The Main Group after RAGE QUIT also loses interest to continue the series.

In the end, the series gets dropped.

A proper way to pick up a series is contacting the active group (just send a message, email).
It's okay even if they don't receive a reply.
Of course, they should make a credit page telling about it.

Sure sniping is generally seen as rude, but Kirei sat on those chapters for ages. We were 50+ chapters behind until anon snipe this and Kirei picked up the pace. We were close to catching up and Kirei slowed down again until this no group snipe it and Kirei pick it up the pace again.

Also, the dude translate 10 chapters ahead of Kirei, so theyre not even working on the same chapter. If Kirei worked at the usual pace, it would take at least a month until they caught up with the sniper and if the dude stopped midway, Kirei could pick up where they left off.

Snipers generally snipe popular series anyway, so really no reason to worry about translation stopping. Snipers who pick on unpopular series are few in between and usually the original team arent active in the first place.

You guys really need to stop stroking scanlators ego so much. Acknowledging and thanking their work is more than enough.

@Nakanowatari:
I know. I just worried about the worst case that the new group and Kirei cafe both lost interest.
I'm happy that we have more chapters to read though.

@Nakanowatari I've seen plenty series go the way @Loli_Omamoritai described. It usually starts with a burst of speed, but that's never sustained. And it doesn't always end poorly. But it often does. If snipers want to be useful, there's plenty of manga that need love and aren't getting any.
But beyond the purely utilitarian, sniping is generally seen as rude because it's rude. If you were the kind of person that scanlated stuff, and someone started doing that, you'd be pissed off. You're fine with it because it seems right now you're getting something out of it, but that doesn't actually make it less obnoxious. If someone mugged someone and then gave you 20 bucks from the victim's wallet, that wouldn't make mugging OK.

Take a hint? Are you serious? Why someone who clearly does a better job even has to just because the inferior version "came first"? In the first place, the questionable quality of the existing work with no hope for improvement is what triggered this project. Simply because this manga deserves better. Unless Kirei's editing and (or at least) translation improves greatly (seems impossible given their current translator's command of Japanese AND English), this project is here to stay.

Frankly, after comparing this latest chapter side-by-side between the two groups, no group's translation reads better in terms of grammar and understanding, not to mention the cleaning job is cleaner and less fuzzy.

I'm very appreciative of Kirei's work, or we might not have even gotten an English translation of this in the first place (barring the official licensed one), but maybe the two groups can collaborate on this series? Obviously that's much easier said than done and people get used to their own workflow, but it would be awesome. Kirei's juggling so many different series already.
