So, in the second to last chapter we get the villains sad backstory (not that sad) and we see that Amon, who we've heard so much about, was just a massive dick and kinda deserved what he got. Cool.
I like the twist that he was an ass who tricked everyone and basically deserved to die

obviously it doesn’t justify black, but it makes some of his actions more understandable even if he just ended up becoming the same monster he wanted vengeance against

now the question is, will they tell Marco?

I wouldn't hate it so much if they had foreshadowed it at all. Maybe they did a better job of it in the WN or whatever, but I don't remember any hints in the manga.

I'm gonna be honest i personally found it painfully mid but hey like they say where i live "You know tastes and color", i'm just kinda of getting sick of sad puppy dog backstories to justify horrible actions in media even worse here because they added the "You're just like me fr fr" trope, not every person in real life who was horrible had a sad sob story sometimes people are just horrible even if given the best conditions in life.
