By himself he was, just look at all his subordinates. They are incredibly strong, but all of them were made with coins given to him by other strong demon lords. If he was raised by a c-rank demon lord instead he wouldn't have been able to accomplish anywhere near what he was able to.

It's as was said in the flashback, the c-ranks need the coins from the higher ranks to get stronger. Procell was just proof of that.

So, in the second to last chapter we get the villains sad backstory (not that sad) and we see that Amon, who we've heard so much about, was just a massive dick and kinda deserved what he got. Cool.

No not cool, he was just a nihilist prick who hated the system and wanted to take over.

I wouldn't hate it so much if they had foreshadowed it at all. Maybe they did a better job of it in the WN or whatever, but I don't remember any hints in the manga.

Hell no they didn't because none of this happened, Black died and was gone, he did not come back again, this entire last arc is manga only. Amon was the extroverted social butterflies who was nice to everyone and brought others together, the manga did him dirty as hell.

This series was good, then they JUST HAD to resurrect Black and ruin literally everything.
