I'm seriously wondering if the MC was a military member (most likely JGSDF due to this is a Japanese work) or so in his past life... Full-auto AR-15, pump-action shotty, glock pistol, mines, dedicated kill-zones... Just who was him before he became a demon lord? That said, what is that poison gas? Yellow, profuse salivation... VX? Yeah I know it's probably some arcane/magic poison, but seriously, why the **** am I having a Salvation War vibe when reading this?

Why even waste your time talking, just shot her crystal down and be done with it.

@the idiots

I'll break it down, why scout? It was already introduced that she underestimated him; It wouldn't make sense for her to be cautious after doing that.
EVEN THEN, she still sent in the clones first instead of sending in everyone, which proves she's pretty good strategist despite that ego. When the attack fell she went in to scout to see what happened and the scene shocked her long enough for more soldiers to check up on her. That mistake was Rosalitte, not Stolas, but as a scout it at least showed her what had happened.

With that it presents 2 options: surrender or go defensive which was the best choice. Because she can't surrender... She was the one who insulted him in front of everyone; To give up after the first charge is A LOT worse than losing, making her also look pathetic. There was also the struggling she had to deal with during training and discouraging words of her master. And finally, her contracted demon's expectations that she placed upon herself: "Someone they can be proud of, never losing to anyone, to become a great demon king for them." That goal was to win, going defensive could of been seen as cowardly as she would be seen as backing down from the floor(s) challenge of the person she called weak.

"testing out wind wall effectiveness," or "using wind wall in the beginning." You guys assume any of her demons can use that ability but as far as we know only Masamune can. And we can assume Solas can too cause you think Solas can too, being a Wind Demon King. But if that was the case, why not double cast wind wall on Masamune?

@Gaigous said it best.

@alekhzandr her master's words weren't discouraging at all, rather they were being very pragmatic and wise. It's not a matter of always just winning, it's about learning and growing. They're still young, naiive, and inexperienced. The whole point is to learn, especially when it comes to a mock battle that won't actually destroy your demons irl and or destroy your real crystal. It's just her own ego that caused her think her master was talking down to her. He was simply saying, either way it'll be a good experience and she should learn from it. At the end of the day, her false ego and pride is what caused her to be brittle spirited. Not her master's fault.

And then he’s gonna pull out either a Javelin style missile system or a Panzerfaust, I guarantee it

I like the gore but what I don't like is that he tries to talk her down as if she was actually going to be like "you know what.. you're right!!"
