Dude I get why the Crown Prince and mc's dad have awards but at the same time, HOW?

Court politics. It would be quite embarrassing if essentially a no-name noble with no title got all the credit for defending the kingdom, despite the Crown Prince commanding the defense.

So the credit is split between the main players in the defense, the Crown Prince as the supreme commander, and Werner's father since Werner was representing him, not to mention all the equipment he paid for (the essential oils for firebombs, for example).

I know I just wrote it as a rhetorical in a sense, after all the world of noble politics in both reality and writing has and will always be this way.
