So, what happened in the match seems to be that Tsujii DID actually lose because the move that Kiriyama thought Tsujii could make (8-3 Uma) had accidentally been rendered out of play in Tsujii's mind by Kiriyama's move in that space (8-3 Hi) and Tsujii couldn't figure out that solution himself. So my guess last chapter was ass-backwards. Rei had the solution for Tsujii's win that Tsujii couldn't come up with himself, so Rei unknowingly thought past Tsujii and psyched himself into giving up because he overestimated Tsujiis ability. Tsujii then went into his negative persona and gave up, but that's because Rei technically already beat him (not being able to think of a solution your opponent could is a fair loss). The luck factor only came in the millisecond delay caused by Rei choking.
