In the real world there are example of prodigies winning titles even though they were younger than Rei (like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sōta_Fujii ). I don't see it happening here though, expecially not in the Lion King tournament... maybe a less important one.

Rei already has a title. It was the best newcomer, or something along those lines.
