Better question: What's your proof she did? All we've got as a source of income until she got that nurse job was alimony. If you can find another one to account for all this, I'm all ears.
Proof that she would do anything to achieve her goals?,this entire Goddamn comic ya nut.

There's no evidence suggesting that she has any shred of doubt, since all her actions have been to take revenge, she even sucked off some dude to get her vantage point.

There's also no evidence that she was not well off,she even got plastic surgery, and we could even say that whatever money saved up for college that her son can no longer go to would also be there.

You assume that she has no means whatsoever to get these things, you have yet to point out why she would never be able to get those things despite the comic itself showing that she has the will power for any means.
No, incendiaries are easy. Bombs are hard. Reliable booby trap bombs are harder. Even the simplest one requires you going to the location, then making several mockups and prototypes before going to live deployment. And testing isn't exactly going to be stealthy.
Bombs are easy, because it's simply a case of containing an explosive in a container long enough to build up presure and throwing shrapnel, the first hurdle would be getting the explosive material itself.

Again,y'all forget that Shinzo Abe was shot by a homemade shotgun that is literally a metal tube with an electrical wire attached to a battery, just pressing the two wires together is enough to fire it,too much gunpowder would've made it a bomb instead, and as literally anyone who was smart enough to talk about the topic has mentioned, one can GOOGLE THE RECIPE FOR GUNPOWDER.

Reliable booby trap?,with the explosive attached between two wires, one wire goes to a small battery, another goes to one of two contact points, those contact points are placed as such so that they touch, with the other contact going back to the explosive.

A bunch of farmers in 'Nam did this with split bamboo to act as the contact point pressure switch between the mids 50s and mid 70s,a man shot the former Japanese PM in modern times with his knowledge gained from YouTube videos,so what on Earth makes you think she can't make a pipe bomb with an electrical contact in this comic?

As for testing,it's literally just making sure the contacts meet and a spark occurs, worst comes to worst, she can get a car battery, and then make sure the gunpowder flashes.
Right, so buy five crossbows, a whole generator, get wire. Somehow connect the wire electrically to the harpoons. Make sure resistance won't melt the wires, aim crossbows perfectly, rig to trigger when the door opens...
Second hand crossbows plus harpoons, about a few weeks delivery and the most finicky of the aspects to get.

A second hand small scale campaing generator or even those relatively powerful battery packs you can get to start up cars along with a voltage controller, the most expensive but not the hardest to acquire.

Wire,hardware store.

"Somehow",like, the dozens of ways one can connect metal wires to metal rods?,in this case, she has wrapped them around, sure there would be issues with that alone since inertia might slide them off,but she seems to have not found that to be an issue, fixing it would be as easy as a hot glue gun.

Ensuring the wire doesn't melt...hi,would you like to meet our lord and saviour,Mathematics?,k'now, the math needed to figure out how much cross area you would need for a given length and given electrical output...you don't actually need it,because those figures CAN BE FOUND ONLINE if not THE SIMP AT THE HARDWARE STORE TELLING THE PRETTY LADY WHICH CABLE SHE WOULD NEED.

This isn't even considering she probably didn't care for them to work that well and/or long enough.

Aim the crossbows is easy enough,it's literally just outside a doorway, getting them to hit where we see them hit here?,that's the hard part that's mostly done for our reading pleasure.

Rig them to fire?,take some rope/string/yarn/the beard from your moms' boy toy/wires/whatever,use a ladder or even just a stool, make sure they pull the triggers by adjusting the length for when the rope gets pulled, trial and error that would take an hour at most.
You're noticing that no individual thing is hard, but you wildly underestimate the prep time needed for any of this to happen.
Outside of delivery time of a few weeks?,a weekend, maybe TWO weekends.

You're wildly overestimating how hard it is to set up some really basic traps in an abandoned mansion in the woods where no one would disturb her preparations,Hell, that might even be the place where she made the gunpowder,if we assume she used gunpowder.

The story never really followed normal logic. The first chapter has Maria's son jumping off a cliff and he somehow survives until the truck kills him.
It has been noted several times of people surviving the impact itself,it's the effects of the impact that would render them unable to survive, such as bleeding out, being immobile with no food, getting stuck long enough for something to eat them...

...or even a now much easier to hit target on a road...

She'd have to practice making traps at the manor, since there's no generalized "improvised trap making" strategy by definition. And there would be obvious signs of bomb testing. Look, this whole thing's just a stretch. Just saying "Well what if she prepared?" just pushes the problem somewhere else.
Not really. The core parts for each mechanizm are the same regardless of what type of building is, also who the hell tests if their trap mechanizm works with friggin explosives attached? You set the mechanizm with something non-lethal and not flashy to see and hear whether it worked. If it works multiple times with no issues, then you arm it and leave it. So it does not matter whether she tested traps in the mannor or somewhere else. Her being prepared is defo not a stretch.

Yeah, no. The story's made it clear she blew the principal once to get her position, then lead him on for a while after that. These are all oddly specific things to have worked on in the first place. And even if she somehow specifically practiced to, among other things, make bombs and electrified harpoons, that's still weeks of prep, and WAY too much money for a single home. The best case scenario here is she specifically planned this over a year ago, then spent all her time off-screen fine-tuning everything. The worse is she came up with this recently, then just magically put it all together. There's only so much contrivance I'm willing to put up with.

The drowning trap? That was plausible. A hose, some silicone, a combination lock, and a rusty saw. That's not hard to do. The difficult thing was getting the boy there. But that's not exactly hard to do either.
why are you even trying to explain this shit. It's shit writing, that's all it is. She could afford all of that and everything went according to her plan simply because the author though it would look cool lmao

Proof that she would
Proof that she did. English is hard sometimes, but this isn't one of them.

The phrase "Easier said than done" comes to mind. Look, if you have to write entire paragraphs to defend all this prep, you kind of prove the point that there was too much prep.
The core parts for each mechanizm are the same regardless of what type of building is, also who the hell tests if their trap mechanizm works with friggin explosives attached?
People who've never made bombs before and have to confirm that a boom even happens in the first place; Never mind the mechanism.

Yes. that's the point. And now this rule of cool went too far.

Most of those cases don't involve a 14 year old jumping from 30 feet and landing on concrete and ending up with mangled legs. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that this story is fictional, I wouldn't believe that Maria's son would still be conscious after his fall, let alone alive.

It's why I think it's silly to ask questions like how Maria is so athletic or how the bully is still alive. Asking stuff like when Maria set up her trap is fair, but I already pointed out in a previous comment that it seems she worked on it within a little over a month.

You know that she used flour + a spark to create that explosion, right? A really big quantity of dust or flour in small space is an extremaly highly explosive thing.
That is the simplest of the simple "bombs" ever.
Even if you want to defend the argument of "trying out the bombs", she most likely knows a lot of abandonned places where people will never be, so she had all the space she ever wanted to test these.

No, she used fireworks. The flour itself was likely the means to light it all up quickly. Do you know how hard it is to actually make a dust fire? They tried it in Re-zero. It goes about as well ad you'd realistically expect: The flour just burns. Because it's not a matter of tossing up a bit of flour and being done with it. The entire room needs to be absolutely saturated with the stuff- to the point where you'd stop and wonder what you're even looking at. And if the place has even a light draft , the jig is up, because she'd have to kick up the flour pretty much minutes before he gets there if she wants any chance of burning it before it settles. Never mind the fact that the dude kicked the door in, which, depending on the exact circumstances, might turn the explosion into a mere burn.

Even assuming she did actually just make a flour explosion, the mere fact that it works suggests that she's bought tens of pounds of the stuff, then set up a dispersal mechanism to keep the room saturated with flour, then also rigged it to explode once the door opens; which shows IMMENSE levels of prep. Again: Too much prep.

scan quality has gotten worse, and smaller.
We are really sorry for that. The chapters are locked behind a paywall where it can only be accessed on a Jump mobile app. Bypassing the paywall is easy, its just extracting the image from an android app is hard, which i tried and succeeded. But, the thing is, the developers of the app encrypts the image itself so even though we have the image file, we cant open it in any way. So we had to resort to other methods. If you know how to decrypt image files from the Jump app, please let me know.

If people really want a higher quality scan, we would have a 1 chapter delay since thats the part where they upload it in the usual website where we can easily rip it

It might not be impossible to switch if you stagger your releases a bit. Instead of uploading on a weekly schedule to match the release, you might, for example, release it every 8 days. After a while, you're behind the one week. In this case, over the course of two months.

He could have had fatal internal injuries, paralyzing spinal injuries, hips crushed in addition to legs... At best he would be crippled his entire life. The way it worked out I guess he's living the good Isekai life fighting monsters and building a harem.

From what's in the chapter I'm almost sure she did a dust explosion using flour. She literally can grab that from a supermarket plus some alcohol/kerosene and just make a device attached to the door to ignite a spark near the combustible starting the chain reaction. The crossbow device is way more elaborate than the exploded room.

There's no "chain reaction". The reason dust explosions work is because the air itself is saturated with small particles. You don't get a bunch of flour and burn it to make it explode, you need to actively fan the area until it's choked with the stuff. And you need a TON of the stuff to blow up an entire room that has an open door. It would literally have been more convincing if she just rigged a grenade bouquet at that point.

We don't see the inside of the room, just part of an empty bag flying in that page, and the explosion is triggered when he kicks down the door. We don't know how she prepped the room but the hard part is igniting the flour and that's why I suggested she used something easily flammable to get things going faster. Honestly, these usually happen in industrial environments so it's hard to speculate how someone would intentionally cause this using homemade materials and not many got a random empty room to test an explosion.

Right, but you're missing the point: If she used a dust explosion, she outright brought tens of pounds of the stuff, then set up a system to circulate it throughout the room before finally either sealing the room airtight, or rushing him over to the trap before all the flour blows out the cracks. If that had been her only trap, you might be able to buy it. But then she's also got an electrified harpoon battery, and a fucking Chainsaw ready.

Either she had some other flammable thing ready for the explosion, and the flour was redundant, or she didn't, and she spent A LOT of time trying to make that work.
