In a perfect world, Okaya would've been strangled to death by that male teacher. But this isn't a perfect world.
Sounds edgy but for someone like the teacher who was driven to the edge and wanted to kill himself to avoid impacting his family, he should have definitely kill Okaya first. Who knows what he will do to the remaining family members later, kid is evil. :pepehmm:

This shit slowly becoming Juujika no Rokunin. Not a good sign.

I think it's a bit too early for that comparison. Everything in Six People in Crosses is contrived: the antagonist is a cartoon villain who somehow managed to throw a country in disarray with some cheap mind manipulation techniques; intermediate opponents are conjured out of thin air; the plot armour is ridiculous, down to a character bringing an electric hammer along to the island raid; all characters do stupid things all the time. It's a textbook case of a shitshow.

Here we've had modestly plausible plots; an antagonist who's clever but not controlling hordes of brainwashed goons, while mostly in the dark about who's after his guts; the protagonist has so far only had to face people she knew from the beginning, no midlevel goons appearing from nowhere; and the only plot armour so far has been for a villain, that is, Kinugawa's absurd vitality.

Here I have to suspend my disbelief maybe a palm or two above my head. In Six People it's reached escape velocity.

Were we supposed to care? Could have just had this as half a chapter.

I was going to say yes, buut, then the family would be branded as a family of murders

not care, pretty much show how f*ck up is Okaya, which could go super wrong as some people are already comparing it to Jujika, that I would genuinely say it's too much, but it's no so farfetched if the next arc continues like this one.

Zero sympathy felt, which was the intention, I think. Please cut the guy into pieces now.

Not sure why you thought it was tragic. Kinugawa obviously had violent tendencies before being abused by Daimon and recruited by Okaya, and his fear over Okaya is more about what he might do to him vs what he might do to others, so it’s not like he was once nice but then became evil. If anything’s it’s more context for why Kinugawa and Okaya met and why the former is scared of the latter.

Rather: Classic "I have no reading comprehension".
Where do you see a "tragic past"? The flashback outright ends with him making friends with who he thinks to himself as the devil.

The flashback showed that he never could control his temper and that his new best friend made sure he could lash out all he wanted with no lasting pushback.

The asshole teacher sort of kept it under lock by beating him down, but was driven into suicide by lil'devil.

I find it pretty interesting that Kinugawa seems to have a severe mood disorder, rather than some sob story about growing up in an abusive home. Though if his rich father actually cared about this behavior issue, he could have taken his son to a therapist and stopped him before it got bad.

Instead Kinugawa was taken in by someone who exacerbated the problem and turned him into a complete monster.

Get that Demon Slayer flashback shit outta here, you guys don't have the excuse of being demons so you don't deserve forgiveness. At least the gym teacher, even if he was a creep and a bully, had the courage to off himself to save his daughter.

Also, a possibility that his daughter might show up later as an ally? 🤔
