Honestly it seems since the meter awakening, reality has shifted from what we are familiar with to more of a cartoon universe, as even the MC appears shocked and confused by some of the more over the top things that are casually happening.
The 2nd one is more accurate. Step sister/brother is what happens when a divorced/widowed parent is remarried to someone who already has kids.

Let me know if there's any mistakes! I'm really happy the manga finally got an anime adaptation! Here's to hoping it isn't just a PNG animation, and its a legit production. Also, a bit of insight on the panel work that i was doing.
This one was relatively weird, considering the hiragana and kanji are in individual box. So i went with the same look, and tried a bit of a "paper copy" style.
This one took me the longest, because of how layer cutting in photoshop works. I manually drew the streaking with the shrink selection, and created the stroke by overprinting a "gradient" style, which was literally just one side transparent the other half white. At a pixel's width mind you. So yeah, that sucked. (done at around 4am.)

According to the entry on Live Charts it's a short-form of unknown length. I'm guessing it'll be 10 minutes per episode including OP and ED. It could maybe be 15 if the combine them? Dunno.
Not a Japanese speaker but I read someone (I posted where a long time ago in another manga's forum) that Japanese uses the same word for both which is why you seen the wrong term used a lot in translations (especially when MLT assisted).
