How could this masterpiece be canned and thousands of isekai harems go on... This is one of the very few Tolkien knockoffs I've seen that I actually think the man himself would've liked. RIP Marry Grave. ;__;

Also I enjoyed the Hiei expy. Hiei is best boi.

Man, so much to like about this.
It has a really interesting and solid magic system where power comes from the user and the really unique materials that they find that I really enjoyed learning more about.
Also, it was cool learning more about Riseman’s wife, when
i realized that she was the girl in the picture I was actually shook lol
On top of that, the flashback/shonen growth arc (complete with a power measuring tool lmao) felt a lot better as a flashback than as a pilot, it was great knowing what would happen and it didn’t really drag on for that long imho.

If I was to critique anything, I sorta wish the author did a little more of the exploring/collecting plot (I’m a sucker for sol) but hopefully they would have if it hadn’t gotten axed. The ending and the pile of characters at the end was a little stifling, and I’m not sure if I would have wanted to read a manga like that, but it’s obvious that the mangaka was trying to tie up the loose ends as best they could.

When I was reading through this originally I was wondering if there was a spin-off with the wife’s journey, so it’s kinda sad to see that it was so unpopular or whatever that it didn’t even finish the main story 😔

Same here, it's really a shame to see this manga axed when trash harem go for hundred of chapters.

It would probably become a awesome manga with more chapters, and quite a hit with time.

Oh well, i did my part at least, got the 5 tomes at home.

Took a break from manga for a couple years and came back a little while ago. I remember keeping up with this manga and being so excited for every new chapter and found it again bc I remembered it so fondly when it was ongoing. I was so excited when I saw that it ended and was looking forward to a nice conclusion but holy shit I can't believe it got so tactlessly axed. It was SO FUCKING GOOD

A beautiful Story that sadly got axed, but still reveived a perfect ending. Instead of leaving it open the author tied nearly all lose things up in a few chapters and it still felt like a good ending and showed what could have been part of the story.

Still a bit sad about it, but i like to reread it at times.

Yeah it was on Weekly Shonen Sunday and didnt do that well and they usually give new series like 40 chap and if it still doesnt do decent it gets some chapters to finish up or better said axed.

Still a decent read and finished with an actual ending, but alot of it was cut short. Would give it a 8, but it did start kinda weak.

I'm so glad this manga still got a sort of ending with everything resolved. Man, this story deserved a hundred more chapters. I'm glad the author gave us closure and such a perfect one too. That's how you know an author is really good at what they're doing.

I wish the most painful death to whoever decided to cancel this manga. Much more interesting than any of this mainstream garbage like one piece. A manga with such a nice story and build up that could be successful in any forms of media. This could be a cartoon, this could be a game, a live action movie. Everything would work. Fuck off whoever decided this should be canceled because it wasn't selling too much. The lack of sales and the brand that cancelled it are literally the same. So just cancel your own life instead of canceling a masterpiece like this.

And this is coming from someone who can't stand feelings and romance. This manga was so much more than that, even an empty person like me could enjoy. Fun to read stories, no 100 chapter of drama, no waste of time, every ingredient was interesting to read and gave you knowledge about the subjects, all the characters were fun in their own way... HOW CAN THIS BE CANCELLED????

Someone should get this going again. And then make a Hollow Knight style game where every boss would be the keepter of an ingredient. A cartoon where every episode would be about one of the ingredients. A live action show with the same idea... So many possibilities! NO OTHER MANGA CAN REACH THIS POTENTIAL!

This is even better than Berserk, even though it's basically the same shit. A guy and a fairy with one objective. Without the asshole main character, without the disgusting porn fairy, without the time wasting, without the forced cliche drama. And specially without the 30 years to make 300 chapters with a story that would take 50 chapters to be told. You can even see what's going on in the drawings! Just that already beats Berserk or One Piece with their messy drawings. Please revive this manga.

What ending? The guy had 10% of the ingredients. They were forced to make a shitty end because the piece of shit magazine couldn't do their work and the same piece of shit magazine decided to cancel the manga. Just like any TV channel cancelling awesome shows because they can't do their jobs promoting their stuff. Depending on a magazine or a TV Channel is the biggest mistake an artist or writer can make. It's like giving your baby to adoption and the orphanage kill the baby because it's not a prodigy baby. Like complaing the baby is too skinny when they don't feed it. Typical capitalism always killing quality stuff.
