People keep making this mistake, so I’m going to repeat it. Ming Feizhen’s retirement refers to retiring from the pugilistic world, not from work. There’s a specific term used when referring to retiring from the pugilistic world.

As always, if you want to read the novel, start from the beginning of Vol. 2 at the very least. Fan fiction isn't reflective of what the original source is.

This confuses me who sent the letter, didn't he kill the person who knew his identity and his master left, and only his master knew or lived there I'm just a bit confused

@givemersspls The original dialogue was changed in the manhua. Honestly, I have no idea what the manhua script writer is thinking. The last chapter was even more choppy with quotes being pulled from nowhere. As for that specific quote, I can't explain it because it hardly makes sense. It's literal. I can't tell you much more unless they explain what the new path they've decided to give it is. On a side note, the manhua has barely scratched the surface of the questionable deeds JWS has committed in the novel.

@sleepymonkey I am surprised you are surprised.

@Vasqueztion You don't really have to think about it because it's right in the title. You can't use the phrase to mean retire the other way; they aren't interchangeable.

Edit: spelling

@Wujizun
sigh..........Its probably one of those people who go "you know what I can do better" when adapting a novel....this is especially prevalent for people adapting to live action. Its understandable when making changes to better fit the medium but when it make you go "WTF?" you probably screwed up .....On a side note only live action adaptation I've seen do a good job recently is "ever night"...they just really need to learn how to retain their actors for the sequels though...........
