I'm more in the camp of, "Why bother?" Swatting flies isn't that interesting.
I was honestly on the camp of let's end those ants. But man this chapter was genuinely satisfying in it own term that I didn't mind not seeing blood flowing.

As it not only resolved the whole deal the FL mother seemingly wanting go to war to get her daughter. But also shows her being cunning to ensure that Ishtar would come to aid her country should the royal family get any funny ideas.

Mad props as we have seen too many Manga with bad conflict resolution that leaves us wanting for more than a slap on the wrist or worse just forgiving a repeat offender.

But for real tho. How is kidnapping and enslaving their population is not a ground of retaliation?

Hopefully the 3rd Prince will find love again with some noble girl who will return his feelings. And I hope that noble girl will bring out the best in him and improve his personality.

Now destroy hyme and everyone is happy 🫡

Also the "We dont attack first rule"- made by the first king is absolute bogus.. your enemy could prepare themselves as well as they want and you refrain from stopping that in it's tracks simply, because some king no one knew said so.. (Considering NO ONE was aware of the real identity of the first king), they'd have more than enough reason to attack even, if you think about the first prince imprisoning women and do god knows what to them
considering the fact that Ain is the first king and Claune is the reincarnation of the first queen(after demon lord ashe anyway) they literally have the right to just attack whenever, the chancellor already knows it

Am I reading this right or did she just used her daughter and father-in-law's exile as an excuse to get Ishtalica to basically "solve" the case of the kidnapped families by the first prince, along with breaking all relations between the two countries? Why doesn't she just defect? It seems like the countries problems are way deeper than some kidnaped families, no need to sink with them.
