This looked so promising but all of that was thrown away in a single chapter...

It was just so dumb of her to leave the group right after she acknowledged that her backstabbing maid was trying to seperate her from the guards.

It was also dumb of her to find a crying plant and then eat it. Like seriously, what was her thought process?? Neither the real Haewon (nor a Korean fantasy romance author incarnated) would have any reason whatsoever to eat a strange, unknown, and dirty herb growing in a cave. Its not something any normal person in this world or that world would do... Its just so bizarre and weird.

And what really gets me is that it just so happened to be a 10,000 year old magical herb that would make her instantly powerful. So now anything badass she does isn't from her hard work, but a ridiculous plot device. So yeah... Now I have no reason to root for her either.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, I don't mean it to be. It just frustrates me so much because it's lazy writing and it makes zero sense anyways. And while this would be fine in a more comedic series, it just doesn't fit here.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this is ridiculous.
