That's painful, but true. Being a Matagi, when Japan was way more rural was needed. But now everything is becoming urbanized, and being a hunter is just a hobby. There's no need to spend your life hunting animals, because nobody really lives in the provinces anymore.

I wonder what Rito's response will be? Hitonari was pretty blunt, after all. Will he instead teach her Gunners Tribe? That would be pretty cool.

yep. That's how development of a country is. Some old traditional jobs goes away 'cause the QoL brought by modernization eats away on what used to be normal.

some old traditional jobs turns into modern day hobby... and said hobbies are goddamn expensive.

In my country there's so much deer now, you can probably make it as a professional hunter. Deers ruin farmland so people get paid for taking them down. Not so much bears though.
