WHAT is there to like about Ren? She's a prideful bitch who looks down on everyone around her, and there's noting less attractive in a character than that. It's possible to write cocky characters who are fun and likable and not emotionally abusive to their juniors, but Ren is not those things. She adds drama, but she's absolutely insufferable. I argue that one can write characters who one loves to hate without actually hating their existence. And the thing about cocky characters is that while they are assured in their skills, they are fully capable of being humbled by someone potentially better then them, and you find yourself rooting for them because they overcome any potential rivals by their own skill, intelligence and grit, reinforcing to the reader and characters why they are so cocky in the first place. Cockiness must be established, then earned when pitted against conflict. Ren is neither especially skilled nor intelligent (especially if there are so many potential candidates who are implied to do a much better job than her). What she's got going for her is nothing but raw, canon-breaking power, and that's simply not interesting. The universe is tilted in her favor, and not even the Internet's favorite subject of power-scaling criticism, Superman, has that going for him. Superman is very powerful, but he's not the bestest evar at everything he does, and he's FAR from the most powerful hero, to say nothing of the many aliens and gods who can match or exceed him. Thus far, it has not even been implied that Ren has anyone approaching her level, and so we are frustrated by the lack of challenge that anyone can possibly present her.
In short, she's a bitch to everyone and she is in DESPERATE need of a humbling, but at this point, anyone or anything that the author can possibly write to challenge her will inevitably feel like an ass-pull.

Using that isn't the best at all. It's always the long running pair that ends up together. Kyouka is focused, but she has feelings, now it is time to build on those feelings.
