Pretty sure she can just snipe them from another country away.

She did just that to the giant shuuki kuusetsu summoned that showed up in a heavily populated area and avoided hitting any aircraft with an attack that flew all the way to Yokohama from Washington DC.
Yeah she did that with a giant shuuki that was well above the city (so you know not too close to the population where the attack would affect them), and the attack flew out into space and around the world, so yeah I doubt there'd be any aircrafts there. So with a target that big and not too near people initially, it'd be pretty bad if she did miss when she has the means and info to hit it. Oh but guess what, when she did hit it, the giant shuuki came falling down the city (you know the heavily populated area you mentioned). So if there were anyone underneath it, then they are likely dead. Worse yet, she didn't even bother doing a follow up to make sure the monster was not just killed but also obliterated. She just launched one attack and went back to soaking in the attention. Even Mira, despite her rough exterior, made sure to prioritize the safety of civilians before doing any heavy battle.

Not to mention, that giant shuuki was also practically mindless and a painted target. How's Ren gonna snipe a human size enemy (like the Gods) who's also holding another person (or group of people hostage), without hurting the people? Heck even some shuuki's take hostages too.

That look on Bell on page 17. I'm calling it now, she will be the deciding vote in favor of Kyouka and that will hurt Ren more than anything.

Maybe I missed it. Did they ever explain how Ren's power works, exactly?
It is kept a secret on purpose. She has 10 (or 12? I can't exactly remember) different "powers" that she can summon, but nobody knows all of them, except Ren herself. Those powers are represented by that "wheel of cards" that spins around her when she summons one of them. Like, she chooses one of the cards and plays it, as if it was a trading card game. She's so powerful that she never needed to use most of them. We learn the extend of her powers as the manga goes on and the fights pile up. For example, we just learned that one of her powers is a healing ability.

I do have to wonder who is going to be a bigger threat to Kyouka, the Gods or Ren because this doesn't seem like a slight she'd let go of...

If the fight went on any longer, I think Ren would've ignored the "no killing" rules

dunno how impressive this is supposed to be if you just straight up tell me they only lasted the full minute because that wasn't enough time for Ren to figure out just how much she needs to hold back to not kill them
The point is she underestimated them. She expected to defeat both in 1 minute. The gods are stronger than that, so they could give Ren a actual problem if she underestimates them. Plus it hurts the perception of her being so strong that the gods cant touch her. Which that and her pride is the entire plan of her idea whennit cimes to the gods "surrender".

So i was right when i am saying the fight would last only 1 chapter. I was right in her didn't win because of her looking down on kyouka. Just saying

Why is the gods protecting the mc? I can undesirable kuusetsu because she is still pretty new compared to other gods. Why the other gods helping yuki for no reason?
They kinda know, maybe same as we do, that the "surrender" is a ploy. And saw how 3 gods did for Yuuki's power. They don't want the chance of him basically absorbing more gods into him. I think

Ngl this fight really showed both, how much Yuuki has evolved, and that Ren's cocky-ness/overconfidence is higher than a random homeless dude..

Nah, only that she has eight different abilities of immense strength. She can use up to two at a time, and most of the time she mixes two of them at a time to create a different effect. She can also use two of the same abilities to increase the strength of said ability.

So far, she has shown the abilities to deliver long range blasts/shockwaves, transport people as far as the bottom of the sea, fly, healing (her own injuries only), and cancel the powers of other people (however she can't negate a God's power, and while she can undo Kyouka's slave transformation, she can't undo the reward requirement). She also has incredible physical strength, however I don't know if that's due to her own ability or a result of great training (like Kyouka).
huh... which begs the question why she didnt undo the transformation here. I know hubris and overconfidence and arrogance and all that but she had 1 minute and beating kyouka would have been feasible if she wasnt being two vs one'd.

which would help the hostages not die how? All the gods are human sized, to snipe like that would kill the people around it.

Crazy, I know right? As powerful as she is, she isn't exactly smart or even efficient with her abilities. Rather than starting to take them serious the moment she was injured (a rare occurrence), Ren decided to double down on her arrogance and fight Kyouka in hand-to-hand combat while giving Yuuki bare minimum attention. There was a number of things she could've done to quickly end the fight. But since she wanted to display her dominance in front of everyone, Ren opted to fight in the most inefficient and flashy way as possible, and because of that she failed in front of everyone. So rather than everyone being in awe of Ren's might, they're instead impressed with Kyouka and Yuuki's spirit, guts, and determination.

After all, Kyouka and Yuuki displayed the determination to fight against a stronger opponent to the bitter end (which for their profession, would be considered praiseworthy), while Ren only showed that she'll play around with an opponent regardless of the stakes just to display her might, which is something that can get people killed in the field of battle.

not just that, but it cost her the fight. meaning she displayed massive incompetance because of playing around with an opponent she could have ended easily but didnt. in a scenario with normal people in danger that shit dont fly.

The way I see it, Ren has been humbled by Kyouka 4 times already. The first two times, were indirectly through her ability, by forcing Ren to give Yuuki a humiliating reward (especially the second one), and the last two, were in this fight. First one, was by injuring her hand, and forcing Ren to show a healing ability she never had to use until then, and the second one, by surviving against her for a whole minute.
Ren is so infuriated, it's hilarious.

I know this fight ended in a draw but in my opinion, I'm going to count this as a Yuuki and Kyouka win because they showed a lot of Rens shortcomings in my opinion showing that Ren can be hurt in Chapter 142 and showing that Ren can have a hard time dealing with multiple opponents if they are synchronized plus also Ren underestimate people she see as weak with Yuuki getting back up and surprising her and then Yuuki and Kyouka surviving the time limit puts a lot of doubt on Ren.

I can't wait for the next chapter.
Bro stop, it was tie. Then would be dead if there wasn't a "Hold back and give them a handicap, Ren." rule.

I kinda think Yuuki might die in the end because you know who the author is....but then again nobody on the main cast has died yet and we are close to chapter 150
I will never fully trust Takehiro after the BS that White Fox pulled, and he let it slide in the Akame Ga Kill anime ending. But you still have to give him the benefit of the doubt because Tatsumi and Mine lived in the manga ending. (The better ending). Leone dying was still pointless and unnecessary.
