It's just too tempting for authors in general to not kill or just regenerate any main characters, but it makes fights have no true stakes. Let's see how good this author is, so far he has impressed.

I’d be more skeptical if they didn’t reattach it. Baring goofy thundergod logic, they have too many options to heal her.

I do want to see how the unique power set of the captains can handle an OP foe. Could they sneak Bell in for a “You are already dead” move?

It would be an incredibly weird choice to pivot and start killing characters now, given the general tone of the last 155 chapters where even the villains don't die (including the male one that isn't even part of the harem now). I get that everyone's wary because it's the Akame ga Kill author but didn't he outright say this series was in response to killing so much of the cast in that one? This hasn't been that kind of series, and if he switches now the backlash would be immense.

A win at this point would be rather anticlimactic. I fear a loss is inevitable, in order to set the stakes for future fights.

What makes you guys think she is the final boss? Last chapter we had her tell the rest to "Guard Mother."

I understand the fan-services was a lot last chapter, but don't forget there is still someone or something bigger than Taikyoku.

I honestly hope it is 'cause a manga where things are at stake but the good guys just constantly win is boring. Even Fairy Tail knew when to hand them major Ls and that's one of the text book examples of a series where things don't really feel dire.
