I think it's just the pacing of the chapters that are getting to me. I like the arc conceptually, but it feels like the fight is dragging on.

Assuming that Bell is kept in stasis or even a preserved state, where time hasn't passed for her (so she doesn't rot and is kept alive albeit still in a dangerous state); then I still believe that Bell can be saved, especially if they can get the Azuma's grandma to heal her.

That was a really nice spin maneuver Varvara pulled off with her ice wings. Lots of great action this chapter, too bad it didn't bring the fight to a close, though we're probably gonna have Yuuki, or even Kyouka herself, enter the frey for the finale of the arc.

Varvara's ability is impressive, Fukuma is probably right about the statue's sword having a conceptual ability, with how much of a simp Vavara is it is probably that thing that has some kind of "vorpal blade" effect.
