I think it's less of Rairen getting stronger, and more of just none of Kyouka and Yuuki's team not being physically strong enough to harm Rairen. Even when Rairen first showed up, most attacks barely had any noticable effect. It wasn't until Tenka joined the battle and used her spatial attacks (attacks that ignore most, if not all, external defenses) that Rairen began to take immediate damage.

So, long story short, Kyouka and Yuuki's team are going to have to do more than simply punch, kick, shoot, and/or throw rocks at Rairen before they start dealing any noticeable damage.

As long as he does not end in Yuuki's spiritual world. I know he needs to share some essence with Yuuki (e.g like seduce Yuuki up to some extent) but to see him, the lone sausage, in that world would be kind of awkward. Though I won't be surprised, if he turned out to really be a woman (masculine one) who likes to wear armor. After all, the 'gods' are all probably based on the Izanagi-Izanami Japanese folklore.

I don't think the guy have actually do anything with Yuuki yet, so far it seems you need to do something physical with Yuuki to end up inside.

Not only that but introducing new characters and fleshing them out a bit is good, idk y he expects everything to be on the main 3 or 4 SPECIALLY when it’s not that type of manga AND a biweekly (as if their characters didn’t also get their time to shine)

As i thought is thanks to Kuusetsu that Yuuki is able to absorb the gods. My theory that he will be able to use the abilities of the absorbed gods get foreshadowed more and more.

In the end, these "Gods" wont get a single kill, will they?

Probably not. In the end this is mainly an ecchi manga. Drama come after the boobas in the priority scale.

This chapter left me satisfied. We got:

• Ecchi
• More potentail ecchi down the line (two is better than one!)
• Action!
• An actual villain that will hopefully require cool action to overcome!

I too think that beating Rairen will require Bell getting outside and riding Yuuki. Simply put, Rairen is a very bad match for the 7th unit, as basically all their abilities are physical damage based. We will see if Varvara join, but I don't think so.

.... I am on the fence on Rairen being female. I think not honestly. But we shall see.

dunno why, but I still can't get it out of my head that these two gods being as powerful as they are is BS and doesn't make sense. Like they got a huge power boost bc the plot needed them to. Idk, I know I'm most likely in the wrong here, but the feeling just doesn't go away.

The big guy didn't get a boost, he got dealt a bad match against Tenka and that made him look weak, he has always been cocky with his skills and now we see why. Armor doesn't work if you simply split it through a portal. If anything we have a measure of strength now that we've seen a single chief take down a god. I like how the manga is showing us that matchups play a big part on how the fights play out. Tenka had skills that nullify armor and Varvara had skills that work wonders against stealthy enemies.

I wonder if the gods of thunder are all actually goddesses. Like they only use the name to separate themselves from the humans since only women can inherit the peaches' powers. That or they do not have the definition for goddesses instead.

And I wonder if Rairen's entire appearance is actually entirely body armor which explains the impenetrable body. Like as soon as it breaks maybe we see a loli or something.

For the people wondering why Tenka is able to hurt him but Yuuki isn't. Chapter 20, Page 19: "Defenses are meaningless when I can just tear space itself apart."

Tenka literally bypasses armor.

While we had an idea that Bell would survive (thanks to the various hints as well as how she was captured and preserved), it's still nice to hear how it would work. Not to mention, it would explain why the head chief primarily uses her as a punching bag and/or toy whenever she's in a mood as Bell would be able to recover from nearly any effect that the head Chief does to her (save for having her ability canceled).

That said, I'm not surprise Yuuki and his group are struggling against Rairen, as most of their groups abilities and attacks are physical based and Rairen boasts incredibly high physical defense. Tenko defeated Rairen easily mostly because her spacial attacks bypassed almost any physical defense, and for the most part that's not something Kyouka and Yuuki can replicate, at least not by slugging it out.

It'll be interesting to see how they go against this.

Personally speaking, I simply assumed (and still do btw until further notice that state otherwise) that Rairen and the other Gods aren't human and instead are simply foreign life forms that originated from the Mato world, and thus don't follow the same rules that humans follow regarding abilities and power. This assumption is strengthened when considering how Kuusetsu was "born" which required a live source of nutrients to power her shape, form, and abilities; and upon losing said nutrients she reverted back to her original egg like form.
