Okay, volume 5 is for the most part up. I looked at volume 6, and by my own estimation, only like 20-25% of the volume is adapted to the anime (not counting the one story that was part of the ending montage)
coupled with the fact that my scheduled might be very packed later on, volume 6 might not even be fully out by the start of july lol
still, i'll try to translate as i can 🙏

They really were outside lol

Does this mean that when she "created an opportunity", she did so by hiring a bunch of half-japanese girls to wash cars in swimsuits outside their building?

STOP posting FAKE translations. If you can't actually understand the language yourself, you have no way to actually verify the machine's accuracy, so what you're posting is no better than a rewrite, let alone an actual translation.

You can read these things that may as well be machine rewriting things and getting them wrong on your OWN. STOP posting them to a translation site for people that want to actually read translations. You are only making people think a work is actually done, preventing a real translator from picking it up. You should be banned for doing this repeatedly, maybe the admins are giving up on Mangadex because of all the DMCAs but this kind of shit used to be not allowed here unlike the other collection sites, which is why it has a high userbase.

Series was dropped for nearly 2 years, so thanks for picking it up in any capacity.
Don't listen to this chump, Adhit is doing a good job.

He's not TRANSLATING anything. He's not DOING the job. He's feeding it to a machine, which you could do yourself if you want to read unverifiable garbage or machine hallucinations. He doesn't KNOW any Japanese he can't translate it. It doesn't matter if it has been dropped, doing this makes it significantly less likely anyone would ever pick it up, because they'll look online and see posted chapters.

If a series is dropped it also doesn't make it ok to just MS paint the text out of raws and write in whatever you want and upload that, which he may as well be doing except with less personal effort because he has no way of actually understanding the lines he's feeding to the machine.

If you want an MTL it's a zero effort piece of garbage you are welcome to acquire on your own for personal use and very much go fuck yourself if you post it where translations are supposed to be posted.

Whatever you say man, at the end of the day this manga was abandoned by every scan so this is the least that could be done for it

The point is that despite using the MTL as a starting point Adhit is actually checking it, proofreading it and modifying it, so you don't get the sort of errors you mention. In this one, had you bothered to read it, you might have noticed a footnote where he looks ahead and researched something a character says about their family set up for example. I have also not noticed any glaring grammatical errors either, which can pop up all too often in translations especially when you consider the grammatical differences between English and non European languages.

Granted, being translated by someone fluent in both English and Japanese to first language standards is obviously the gold standard (even though often that costs money) but this is pretty fucking good for an MTL with care put into it, so I politely suggest that your efforts to rid the world of bad MTL might be better focused on actual bad MTL, not this, which is a decent translation, using MTL as a basis.

Lets face it though the speed AI is progressing, in a few years, I bet any human involvement at all will be unnecessary and nobody will be able to tell the difference. When that happens the publishers or mangaka themselves will offer any manga in any language you want simultaneously with the official Japanese publications, so the whole fan scanlation scene will die anyway, now there's a sobering thought.

(EDIT: I should point out here I don't know Adhit, and don't know anything about them personally, just sticking up for a decent translation of a fun series that would otherwise have never been translated)

It is not a translation if there is nobody that actually knows the language. I can get a script of MTL garbage and edit it into something that would match the pictures too. Harmony Gold managed to crop three different shows together into a mostly coherent story in the fuckin 80s. That doesn't make Robotech OK. That doesn't make Power Rangers an equivalent substitute for the original shows. And it isn't translation. If you don't know the language and you're just feeding it into a machine, all you're doing by editing it is rewriting unverifiable garbage into a script that sort of matches what you think is happening in the pictures.

That's not translation.
