In regard to the quality of the translation: I haven't seen the original, but everything made perfect sense to me, and there weren't any of the ...odd... sentence structures and weird grammar that so often turns up in fan translations, so from my perspective you did an excellent job.
It read like something written in English by a native speaker with a decent education and some skill at writing this type of fiction.
The odds of that occurring by just dropping the original text into Google Translate and accepting it's first approximation... No.
Not possible. Not for the entire chapter.
Significant judgement was employed in looking at the various possible interpretations of words, and then reorganizing the sentences into standard English formations.
